My sisters family & her friends family were vacationing in Wildwood Crest this summer. My sister bought 3 baby igs & her friend bought one for their children. None of them knew what they were getting into & of course the TSHIRT VARIETY SHOP (not a pet store) that sold it to them gave them advice on how to care for them. My sisters friend ended up bringing it to a pet shop who agreed to sell it for her & my sister (who has numerous lizards) decided to get educated so she could give her igs good homes! But she had no clue how large they really get. She isnt going to get rid of them & she is going to provide them with excellent care since she loves lizards. But how many people just dump their igs in garbages, set them free outside, or let them die from neglect? Its bad enough that most pet stores dont really know how to care for iguanas, but now we have tshirt & souvenier stores selling them. I cant even believe that ANY of these shops on boardwalks are caring for them PROPERLY.
