Hmm, the vet didn't say how to care for him? Well, For foods I use the iguana den diet, for housing, that enclosure you mentioned sounds ok for now (just watch for nose rubbing)the iguana den diet is located at the iguana den. just take the picture link on the page listed below. Heat is another thing you might need to think about. Unless you work at a vet hospital in Central America, you'll need to heat the little guy.
i don't recomend doing this with any sort of 'belly heater' simple incadesent lights work the best. Keep his cage at at leat 82 degrees with a basking spot of 95-100 (but not over this) degrees. And then of course back to their diet, you will need to add a suplement to his food, one that has been working great for me is rep-cal it comes with vitamin d3 for inside and without for outside. There is so much else to keeping iguanas, but I'll let some one else take it from here.
