Lemme get this straight, ok? You have a night time bulb, but the temps are still dropping too low? If that's the case, why are you concerned about keeping the night time bulb? Cause it's obviously not working, ya know what I mean? Here's my advice. Either get a ceramic heat emitter with a dimmer switch, to control the intensity of heat output, or, simpler and cheaper, buy him a *high-quality* **HUMAN** heating pad, set it to low, and wrap it in a towel. Put him on it at bedtime. Myself, I much prefer ceramic heat emitters, however. Works much better and can be used during the day, as well. HTH.
