hi James!
welcome to the best ig-forum on the planet! i'm glad this ig has found it's way to someone who cares!!!

Melissa Kaplin is an excellent source of *good* + accurate info about igs ... haven't seen her book as yet, only her (extensive!) web site ... she IS someone who knows what she's talking about and i'd follow her recommendations as far as getting rid of the mites, etc. ... i'd put the mites as the #1 priority ...

#2 ... are you able to handle the ig at all? if you're concerned it's dehydrated, i would take that *VERY* seriously and try encouraging it to get some extra fluids/Pedialyte with an oral syringe ... soak it's salad down with water before feeding ... try to increase it's enclosure's humidity if possible ... warm soaks in the tub may help, may get her to take a sip or 2 of water (+ help rid the mites too??)

keep the ig warm ... while it's recovering, i'd recommend aiming for temps between 85-90 degrees ...

take a fecal sample in to the vet ASAP ... very prob'ly has worms/parasites as well as the mites ...

to start off with some very *basic* diet info ...
go for collard, mustard, turnip greens, dandelion greens if you can find them ... fruit shouldn't be a big part of the diet, but i'd add some thinly sliced melon to the greens just to get some extra fluids in the ig ...

MK's web site:
http://www.sonic.net/~melissk/ig_care.html

the Basking Spot ... more excellent info, diet is based on MK's but is a bit easier to follow + igs take to it a bit better:
http://www.baskingspot.com/iguanas/

let us know how we can help!
Bon. + iZ (the most dreadful)
