I'm am going to post this on the public forum for the following reasons: First, you made this a public issue with your very first post, and therefore it will continue to be a public issue until all concerned (not just you or those that share your opinion) are satisfied that the matter is closed. Also, what you suggested in your first post affects everyone on this board, and that makes it a public affair.

I first want to say that I find it very unfair that an opinion that differs from yours should be the object of such scorn and scathing remarks. I said in my first post that I respected your opinion and I treated it as such. I am appalled that you could not do the same courtesy. Perhaps I thought too highly of you, in which case, the mistake is mine.

I find this comment outrageously offensive, illogical and totally uncalled for. This forum is not just a "question-and-answer" board for people who need help. It is also a community, a family, and most of all, a place to learn! For example: I VERY much enjoy and look forward to Bon's posts when she is helping someone through kidney damage problems. Now, I don't have an iguana with kidney damage, so in that way, Bon's posts do not "help" me, but I have *learned* so much from her and her posts. And so have many, many other people. It would be a crying shame to never see anymore posts like that. Learning is *so* important.

No, of course you didn't say the "regulars" would do such a thing! Because us regulars have been around, seen it all (not really, of course, I'm exaggerating to make my case) and know better. See above where I spoke of "learning." How can anyone learn to know better if this censorship (and I do not believe that is too strong of a word for this case) that you suggest be implimented?

Who did? Perhaps if you read my message a little closer instead of skimming it with your customary quick temper, you would see that I never spoke of law suits.

"Cover our @sses" was my term, HD, not yours, and I never said it was yours. And I'd say it's a pretty appropos term for the situation. And you can quote me.

I imagine that you were expecting people to just agree with you, as per usual, or not speak in fear of rousing your quick ire. But what you speak of is a very touchy subject, and of course there will be differing opinions. My applause (and condolances) to those who have dared to speak against your opinion this time. I know that it's hard.

Forget it. Like I said, this is a public affair, and it should stay public, even when the voices speaking are not agreeing with your words. I imagine that if everyone were agreeing, you would have plenty more to say about the subject. I regret if I have insulted you, but those are the bald facts as I see them

Like I said in my last post, if the webmaster speaks asking us to desist with "medical" advice, I will stop, albeit reluctantly. But, HD, you are not the webmaster, but just another part of this "family" and while I respect your right to your own opinion, I will not be intimidated by your unfriendly posts towards me. I will continue to post what I wish to post, in accordance to the current rules, until asked by a voice of authority not to.
