I am not saying that any medical advice should be given, and , I apologize if I gave that impression.

For instance: If my question was: My ig is not eating and appears to be sick, what should I do ------ then, you said: Give him 2cc of Baytril every 8 hours ( because it worked for your ig )

Then I would say that it is inappropriate for you to give that medical advice because: (a) you are not a vet, (b)you don't know the whole story, (c)you did not have the opportunity to make a physical examination with or without tests.

That is the point I was making. For some people reading this forum, they may make the excuse that : "gee, that Baytril or Panacure worked for their ig, it will probably work for mine and I can save the time and expense of going to the vet". To me, that would be wrong and a very bad excuse for not going to the vet.

My asking you about Baytril was for curiosity and obtaining some information before talking to my vet - which is different from trying to be the vet myself.

I hope that clears things up.
