Since you say you have "MAJOR ACCESS TO VETS" then I would suggest that you make an appointment and have your iguana checked over and see what the vet tells you to do ;o)

While waiting to see the vet, I would suggest for online reading that you visit one of several websites...a good place to start is one by Melissa Kaplan.

There is also a new book out entitle "Iguanas for Dummies" written by Melissa Kaplan. Another good book is by James Hatfield.

There is much wrong with what you are feeding and the loss of wt. *could* be an indication of parasites or another physical problem. Rather than go in to detail re diet, it would be easier for you to check the websites and/or read the book so that you can refer back to the information more easily.

Good luck & please take the advice or else you'll probably lose your favorite pet.
