: : Do you think it would be OK to use Reptisun5.0 and Active UVheat at the same time?
: : The long bulbs seem to have more of a wider range of output.
:
: How do you figure? Reptisun uvb is optimal at 9 inches. Active at 2-8 FEET depending on placement.
: I would guess you could run both but why? Keep your Zoo med until it burns out...even tho they say 1 year...replace in 6 months..then buy / run your active uv heat a few hours a day. Seems like you have some other concerns about the lamps...keep asking around. Till you think yer ready.

The lowest you can get is 100watt, and my basking shelf is 9 inches from the top.
Ceiling is another 10 inches, that puts the bulb at the most 14 inches away. I did a regular
incadescent 100watt at 14 inches away and the heat was 112 degrees, too hot for my IG.
Might try one anyway, if I can't use it with my ig, I can with my monitor. Thanks.
