: I have done a good bit of research on and off for almost a year. I have a veiled chameleon that I have raised and I know they are one of the more challenging lizards to raise. I also have some snakes and other exotic birds. I live in the central Ohio area. The cage can't really be expanded, and I don't have much room for a cage the size you are talking about. But I might be albe to fit it in my basement. I still need to consider the purchase some more, if I have any more questions I will be sure to ask. Thanks

I'm going to ask if you've done some intensive research concerning the keeping of iguanas? You have to realize that they are a time-consuming responsibility and not the easiest lizard to keep as a companion. If you feel prepared to take on one of these magnificent creatures, then secondly I'm going to ask you to consider adoption. There are plenty of older, healthy iguanas out there looking for a good home. Most adoptions are free. Some facilities charge a small adoption fee. If you could let us know where you are located we can probably steer you to a rescue. The cage you described would be adequate for a smaller 2 year old for a short time. Is the cage expandable, could you add on to it? A cage 6Hx4Wx4D would be more suitable, even larger would be better. Best of luck and if you have any more questions, feel free to ask.
