Is she back in the US now? Do you have her mailing address? Send her a certified letter (Unless she is still in Paris....I don't think certified mail can be sent out of the country but maybe you could send a telegram?) or something she has to sign for, and inform her if you don't hear from her in "x" amount of days, you will be placing her iggy with another family. If you don't have her address, send her a final e-mail stating the same thing. If you don't hear, go ahead and do what's best for the little guy. Can't wait on her forever, and as long as you keep a record showing you contacted her about it, you should be safe legally. Even better yet, contact an attorney (they usually will give you a free phone consultation) and ask him about it. He should be able to advise you on the law when it comes to being in possession of another person's pet.
