Well, over a month ago, I got a call from an LAX employee who had an iguana dumped on their hands and they didn't know what to do with it. The owner didn't know that she needed authorisation to take her newly purchased iglet into France, so she left the iguana at the counter and said "here, it's yours."
Apparently the owner had failed to communicate that she'd wanted the iguana shipped to her while she was on vacation in Paris. Now her baby iguana, Jade, is living at my house. However, Jade's owner hasn't contacted me for weeks and I'm starting to wonder. She's not responding to my e-mails or the voicemail messages I've been leaving her. As much as I'd like to, I can't raise Jade because I'm going to be leaving for college soon and I won't have the space for ANOTHER iguana. Jade is quickly outgrowing the dinky 25-gallon tank that I thought was going to be a temporary home, but I don't want to give Jade away because I'm not sure if Jade's owner still wants her.
Does anyone have any advice as to how to deal with this situation?
Thanks!
