taming a iguana

i have a 3 year old green iguana and i keep him in my room and so he's used to me since he see's me all the time and plus i feed him. but when someone new comes in he sticks out his dewlap (thing on his neck) and gets in what i call the "ready position" which is where he looks like hes ready to whip his tail at you. how can i get him to be more friendly and used to new people that may come in?
