If one is already hiding, and eating and basking less than the other, he/she is trying to tell you he doesn't like a roommate. It is very hard to keep two igs together, especially if one is bigger than the other.

The bigger one is probably fighting more because he's more dominant. The little guy/gal is probably stressed out. The stress of living with another ig can be enough to kill it.

: Hi!

: If I didn't let ya know earlier, I have two baby igs. I think they are about 4 or 5 months old. Anyway, one just went through a shed, (lasted about 3 days), and the other igs tail is shedding and has signs of previous shed not too long ago. This makes me think he/she may not be done. Since they are babys I am housing them together, they each have their own "cave" to hide in when needed and basking spot. My question is this, Why is Frankie soooo freaked out and a spaz in the cage when I go to pick him up,(he is also bigger than the other one), and the other baby is usually hidding in its cave and when I go to pick it up it does not spaz out, but once in my hand she/he will try to get away, but then simmers down and is just a real sweetie. No offense to Frankie but the quiet one has a cuter face. lol (I think it's a girl) I also notice that I only see Frankie eating and basking more, while the other one is hidding out. I don't ever see them fight. In fact, I put both of them in the tub to get some exersize and they both swam with grace and the smaller ig climbed on Frankies back which put Franky under water and he didn't fight it at all. ANYWAY. Sorry so long...
: What I want to know is, do you all think one is sick with something, or just a sweeter ig? I love Franky, he is soo spunky! But the other one acts soooo different and timmid. Do you all think it is just a personality thing? BTW they won't be housed together much longer. This is only a temporary set up until the cages are built. The smaller ig is going to another house. We will keep Franky. I hope he simmers down some!!
: Also, Franky still has some shed on his head.... Should I try some Olive oil or Vit E oil on him as well? Sorry so long!!!!!

: Tanya
