: Spunky has several spikes on his back with extremely stubborn shed. When I thought I loosened one up enough the other night, the whole spike came off. When I was giving him another soak yesterday, another one came off, the whole spike :-( : Then I tried the mineral oil, but I barely touch him and he winces. I soaked him again tonight and gave him more aloe vera, but I can hardly touch him near those spikes, and now I'm afraid the rest will come off. I can see that at least one is "choked" at the base and looks like it will just fall off. The others don't look like they've reached that point, but I don't know what to do. There are still about 5 of them. :-( : All suggestions are welcome. I never thought I could do something like this to one of my babies :-(
