Every time we lose a friend around this forum it is hard. Please know that we truly do understand the pain that you are going thru right now, and please believe us when we say that it does get better with time. As I recall, Sparky was being treated for an abscess. It sounds like he developed blood poisoning due to it. And BEFORE you assume any guilt for that, remember that you DID have him to the vet and you DID have him on medication. (And, remember, I am not a vet *smile* so I'm just making a guess on cause.) Sometimes the medication can't fight the infection effectively. These things do happen; it is NOT your fault.

From your post it sounds as if Sparky has a few of your childhood friends already waiting for him at the Rainbow Bridge. There will be other iggies waiting, too, to play with him.

Start to dwell on the good things and let go of these last moments. Some day soon I hope that when you think of Sparky you will find yourself smiling.....maybe even laughing at an antic of his that you suddenly recall.
