Free Roamer Question

Does anyone have any experience with a free roamer that haas been caged after being a free roamer? We have a male, age 5, in va beach that has been up for adoption for one year. His owner is allergic to him, though they love him very much. He is said to be a ham and has showed no agression. He also lives with a teenage girl. He sounds like another great show iguana.
