You have come to the right place for info, Tanya. There are so many knowledgable people here. For starters, please remove the reptile bark from your baby ig's cage. This can be easily ingested by him and it can cause a lot of damage if he does. Use instead some plain ol' paper towel as a substrate....very easy to clean, and he can't swallow it. :) What are you feeding him? Make sure he is getting some nutritious greens (Collard, Mustard, Turnip grees) and some veggies (Acorn squash, butternut squash, green beans, spaghetti squash) A little fruit is ok too, but only about 5% of his diet. (Raspberries, papaya, prickly pear) For his shed, you can mist him down with some warm water daily, or even better yet, put him in the bath tub with only enough warm water to come up to his shoulders. That will help with any stubborn shed areas, and the water is good for him anyway. I have put in the link for a good website for you to start with....it covers everything you need to know concerning ig care. I suggest you go there and read, read, read!! :)
Take Care
