it does depend on individual animals. We recentlly acquired a kitten and I watch them closely because an ig's tail is an irresistable toy for a kitten. My igs are large enough to toss the kit across the room with one swish of the tail, but all it takes is one claw puncture and we're talking serious trouble. As far as my adults cats go, they don't even acknowledge that the igs are here. Some closely supervised interaction is needed if you are going to introduce your cats to your ig with no barriers between. Good luck!!
