absess on nose

I was just given a 5 year old male green iguana.I am pretty sure the poor guy has an absess between his nostrils about the size and shape of a milkdud.Does anybody know someone in Arizona that could help this poor guy. I would do it myself,but have never done it before. If I take him to a vet they would charge me much more than I can afford, and I don't know if he would get someone who is familiar with this sort of thing.
Any words of encouragement would be great.
