About a month ago, I noticed a small hole near the bottom of my two year old lizard's dewlap. It is a little smaller than the size of a pencil eraser. It has not changed shape or size, and I have looked for mites and can't see any (although I realize it could be a parasite that isn't visible). He is otherwise seemingly healthy (eating and pooping regularly, and has a normal activity level). I have been treating it by putting iodine on it with a q-tip. Has anyone heard of this happening before, or have any suggestions about whether I need to do something for him at home, or take him to the vet? I would appreciate any feedback!!
