Some Pet stores make no sense to me. Why would you sell animals you couldn't even identify??? I happen to work in one of the few good ones in this country and I take no offense when people say that pet shops suck, because most of them do. I think I'm probably one of the only pet $hop employees anywhere that can explain the vitamin d3 metabolization process to a non-believing customer. The only thing I wish we would discontinue is selling iguanas. People tend to think they're an easy pet (regardless of what we say) and about 95% of them get rid of theirs when they reach 2 feet. Grrr... I really respect you guys for doing the opposite. I don't sell many anyway though, because when I tell people they need incandescent lighting,UVB flourescent lighting, vet visits, and a huge cage rather than the normally recommended 10 gallon/hot rock setup, they usually freak.
