Approximently how long would it take for them to regrow? He is 5 years old.

It depends how bad they were damaged whether they grow back at all, but usually a year or two. Try to make sure he cannot damage the others; getting caught inbetween something, or rough handling if you throw the towel around him...if you can make it more like a sling....the two ends of it at the top and carry him off to whereever like that. If you're constantly using a towel to get ahold of him to go where you want him to go...I'd try and get him used to something else that won't cause the damage for example: when my igs go over to my neighbors citrus trees to hang out...sometimes I gotta go retrieve them cuz they will stay there 24/7! I use a long handled fish net to get em (extend my grasp) they are so used to this fishnet now that they literally crawl up onto it with all fours holding on to the aluminum rim I carry them down that way (they're getting awful heavy to be doing this!) but it works FOR ME! and I stay scratch free. You gotta start working on handling your ig without the towel tho...If you need some tips repost...we'll give ya some tips!
