I had the same encounter one day in Harrisburg, Pa. The large pet shop there had a cage of about 50 baby iguanas in it. The cage was only about the size of a 20 gal tall aquarium. Everyone of the babies were sick and dying off. I went in the first week and noticed that they were over crowded and had only the juvenile iguana diet. The next week I went in and there were 3 dead ones no food or water. It upset me and like Claudette I hunted the manager. Well the next day I finally caught her she was one of the high up people in charge of this ring of pet shops. I talked to her about the iguanas and told her that they may not make make it and if things werent changed they would die. She just blew me off like I didn't know what I was talking about. I even offered her $100 and told her she could pick out any she thought would live but she rudely said they would keep all of them unless I paid $15 for every one. Is there anything we can do when the ignorant people just won't listen and don't care about the animals?
