I use the largest ferrit hammock on the market. I put it in about three times a week for about two hours. I wish I could leave it in...but it blockes the Iguana light (thier UVB etc. light). In their new enclousure I plan on having it in all the time. They love their shelves covered in indoor outdoor fake grass..If I left the hammock in all the time....my male Iguana would use it. My female isn't too interested in it. He seems to enjoy it though. He gets down after about 20 minutes or so. Lighting....make sure they stock the long floresent bulb called "The Iguana Light ". I would have to look it up on MK's site to see the manufacturer. I can't remember it now. It seems to be the best one on the market for Igs. Make sure your pet store tells people to replace the bulbs every six months. Even though the manufacturer says their bulb lasts a year. You probably know what light I'm talking about...if not let me know. Put out a good flier fom MK's site for diet too. Educate your staff and customers so their Igs are cared for correctly. If the money scares them off...then so be it. They'd end up dead living with those people. Cal. sprays and the like....I have no exp. with. My Iguanas were adults when I brought them in. Female Igs during and after pregnancy need a calcium boost. But outside of that a good diet has all the calcium they need. Your juvinile Igs however...need xtra cal. I'd have to read about it again to tell you exactly how much xtra they need. I'll do it if you want me to. Thanks for making a difference.. :o)
