Softening of bone (jawbone) its just fibrous tissue swelling, blood & flesh....no infection no caseated pus. One of the first signs of MBD.
Something is wrong....diet wise or lack of uvb. You decide which. With diet correction and appropriate amounts of uvb....can prolly turn him around in a couplea months...but the swelling will take some time longer 6+ months to reduce, he's little right? so maybe even sooner. His calcium is screwed up...not enough in his diet..or not enough Vitamin D3 (sunlight, articificial uvb) which is needed for calcium to be metabolized.
How old is he? big?
What do you feed him? Be specific and then we can help you from there!
What supplements (brands also helpful) are you giving him and how much?
Post back....not the end of the world...he's just tellin ya something very important is all!
Here's a link that explains it pretty good...but I personally don't agree everything this site says about ggis..but the MBD explanation works! OK!
