i'm gonna guess that if your iggy fits in a 16"x18" cage, s/he is not big enough/old enough to be "bothered by" mating season ....(hey - i could be wrong tho!) and definitely too young to determine it's sex ....
does lizzy get to come out and climb and run around daily???? being too couped up can cause aggression .... i'd suggest looking into increasing "her" living quarters and also give some supervised roaming time on a daily basis ...

igs stress out VERY easily and don't seem to "get over it" very quickly at all .... when we moved last year, it took iZ a good (actually it was bad...) month to finally get back to his old cheery self ... it could just be residual stress from the adventure with the terrior ..... also sounds like it's young enough to still not be totally sure you big things are gonna eat it .... mostly, you need alot of patience and long sleeve shirts ... *grin*

and i have to agree with Roman and Igmom ... and recommend NOT tapping it's nose .... IMO it enforces the concept of "might makes right" which will work NOW but not when lizzy is 4 1/2 feet long and 6 pounds ... (that's 36 inches of a mighty powerful tail/whip ... the ig will win THAT one!) definitely check out melissa's site ... she's great!!

oh - as far as will this pass? VERY PROBABLY it WILL if you are patient and consistant .... igs have their moods same as us humans do .... (well - except ME of course ... I am never moody .... *grin*)

good luck and happy igging!!!!
let us know how it goes!!!!!

:P + :)
