Suggestion: get yerself some probiotics for after the Flagyl...for Slee...but ya may wanna take some yerself!! Giardia loves an acid gut...igs should have an alkaline gut. The probiotics will replace all the good stuff the Flagyl will kill off and all the beneficial microflora he should have had orginally to fight off this explosion. Get probiotics in the refrigerated section of health food stores. A good triple probiotic contains L acidolphilus,B bifidum, and B longhum
costs about $8 for 60 caps. Each cap contain about 1 billion live cells. Refrigerated bottle lasts about 3 years. Give him one cap for about one week. He won't overdose on the good stuff! Within 4 hours these cells begin to multiply....but continue to give him the caps once daily...ya need to replenish ALOT of this good stuff that will be killed off. Ive read one report that microflora, bacteria in a HUMANS gut makes up 4 lbs!! Is that wild or what...wonder how many lbs an ig has....since they are hindgut fermenters and rely on this microflora to breakdown cellulose in plants. Anyway....more than ya wanted to know huh?
