: They get dark when stressed. But later in the yr. I'll look out for them being dark during sunbathing when our temps are in the 70's.
Not to imply that you are leaving them unattended, from what I read here you are a very responsable mom, but I read a sad story here last year about a guy who's iguana was left outside too long without shade and passed on, so to whoever is reading, be careful of leaving them in the sun when they can't get to shade
