Gina, I hate to disagree with you, as it is obvious you know so much about iguanas and their care and your knowledge and advice here are invaluable to so many of us, but if Dumpster's antics are true, then I'm afraid the stress alone is enough to kill his poor little anole.
On the Anole Forum, he speaks of the poor little thing not only staying alone in a corner, but not eating either. He describes the little guy as dehydrated and emaciated, skinny and sickly. It sounds to me that if its stress isn't relieved soon, death is inevitable. That's a very sad result of want of a screen top, but IMHO, probably better for the anole than what can only be described as a life of torture.
Please don't take offense, I just feel so bad for the poor little anole. If Dumpster can't separate them, nor give either of them up to someone who can properly care for them, perhaps someone help him with ideas on how to secure the top until he gets a screen, that will also keep the 2 species apart.
