Well as you know already! lolol you should separate them soon, BUT they are fine in the interim...since you got yerself an iglet and not a mature ig....they can cohabitate for a short time (a few months) and not cause harm to each other...either zoonoses or fear of eating one another *paranoia will destroy ya*... for all your iglet knows you have a couplea mutants...midget ggis...in the tank!
The reason why they cling so much to each other is that's a natural iglet/lizard behavior...they pile high on one another to *conserve heat* (if ya ever saw pet store iglets they're all over each other) not because of sexual interest! Secondary sex characteristics of ggis...happen around 12-18 months...you should be able to ascertain sex around that time. Probing by an experienced herper or vet can be done sooner...after the first shed, altho it is rarely done (there are a few risks of perforation with the probing tools)so people mostly wait it out!
There are many online herp suppliers that sell commercial and custom made screen tops. You will soon need an enclosure for your iglet NOT the anoles...keep the tank for them! Lemme know if you need some links to order screen tops online..okie dokie!
