I got my iguana free from Petco-he was a return and they figured he'd die and they couldn't resell him in the condition he was in. He was a year old and barely over a foot long. He had no front toes and his back legs and tail were brown and shriveled, looked almost like the back half of a dead ig. The back leg thing happened after he was bought but apparently he had come in without the front toes. That was in September '97 so he is about 4 years old now. He started growing and is about 4'. His back legs and tail were fine after about 3 months of dark greens, vitamins, and calcium. I'm wondering though if anyone has heard of an ig being born with no front toes? He gets around OK but doesn't climb quite as well as a normal ig; he needs really thick branches and logs so he can get a grip on them.
