My last ig, Salvador, (truly my best reptile) was burned severely when he came to me (scales all melted together on half of his underside from a heat rock) He was permanantly disfigured and looked like he wasn't going to make it. He grew to be 5 feet and the sweetest damn male ig ever!!! I don't know if it's because I spent so much time doting on him or what (but there wasn't a mean bone in his body) I had a dream about him last night as a matter of fact (still miss him even though he's been gone 1.5 years)
My latest ig, Sleestack, seems a bit smarter-- and looks at you in the eye like yours (gives my friends the creeps). He is stubborn and funny but I just didn't bond with him as much-- perhaps because I didn't have to nurse him back to health. He's a pretty good ig, but even my husband misses Salvador and he's not a big reptile fan. He says he doesn't want any more after this, but I probably couldn't accept that!
