This may seem like a really silly question, but could someone please explain why you think that it's okay to "fix" a dog, cat, or rabbit but not an ig. Maybe I'm mistaken and this is not a general opinion but rather some people's point of veiw. I'm confused. I'm assuming that there must be some particular reason that some people feel this way. From what I've gathered at this point, I do understand that it doesn't help with aggression problems like it sometimes can for dogs and cats (I don't know if this applies to rabbits or not.). I know that most vets recommend it in order to help control the pet population and usually can sell a pet owner on it if they also mention that it will eliminate testicular or ovarian cancer. Does this not apply to igs ( the cancer part at least)? Is it just a very risky surgery that isn't done unless it's the last resort? I was just curious to hear some info./opinions on the subject. Thanks! and happy igging!!
