I agree with all of the other suggestions, but just wanted to add that IMHO seclusion might be really important. Maybe cover most of the cage, and leave a small pleasant view available that is stable (not like a road!) This seemed to help one of my babies who did not eat for ten days.
Also, what about mixing the dry food in the salad?
Good luck - I'll keep my fingers crossed. Btw, why was this ig taken to the vet's in the first place??
