Carrie, this poor baby has already gone too long without eating, and probably not drinking either. You need to get both into her now. The folds along her sides are probably a sign of dehydration, along with clearly seeing that she is losing weight. Most igs don't have weight to spare.
I don't have a lot of experience with this particular prob yet, as mine all eat pretty good for the most part. When I first got Coolio, he wouldn't eat for days, and I tried an over-the-counter thing called Stimulap. Either it worked or he just got so hungry, but he finally starting eating. Recently, Spunky resumed eating after receiving an appetite stimulent shot from the vet. Keep your eyes posted here, cause I'm sure there are lots of people here who can help you with this. In the meantime, I try feeding directly from the leaves. My igs seem to go for this when they temporarily get out of the "salad" mood. Also, try some fruits. Anything to try to get some food and water in her, no matter how minimal. Also, try water from a dropper or perhaps a dip in the tub.
As a matter of personal opinion, based on this very limited info, I don't think this vet is really too keen, at least where igs are concerned.
I wish you both the best of luck.
