Lightning was spayed 2 years ago this time of year...she seems to pick summer vacation time to need a vet! Anyway, she still shows signs of mating colors AND still digs. Last summer when she had to have some tail taken off I questioned the vet who did that surgery about this. He had never heard of them continuing to show this after being spayed. (And he is well known in the herp vet field. Writes papers, gives speeches, teaches, etc. etc.) However,a lot of us with female igs can vouch for the FACT that this does occur!
