im probably over reacting !!!! i rememberd you said that corn made your iguanas poop funny. sometimes i give ivy that canned iguana wet food by zoomed mixed with vegtables or squash he likes it . it has corn in it also maybe its too rich fo him so i will try to not give it too him for awhile and feed him his collards and other greens. i will keep you posted . mike
With the variety of fresh vegetables that are readily available for not a lot of money, I don't really think it's necessary to even *think* about giving commercially prepared iguana food. Unless it's an extreme emergency, not even frozen vegetables! I can feed Minga for less than $2.00 a week. Of course, Minga is still a baby, but if you take a few extra minutes in the produce section, you can come out with a lot of veggies for little dough. For instance, in my supermarket, collards, mustard and turnip greens are 69 cents a bunch! I purchased a summer squash for 29 cents! Incidentally, I just read about an iguana who had a rather large bladder stone removed... The possible cause may have been the addition of vitamins to an already adequate diet. Just something to think about. You sound like a good ig dad mike, keep up the good work! Sara (Minga's Mom):
