I went to take out garbage last night and one of the stray cats I feed had a bird, well I rushed over made the cat drop it and it was alive. I grabbed some paper and scooped it up not knowing what to do from there.
I put the little thing in the hallway where I live with some bread hoping no one would let it out. This morning I brought it over to work and put in a spare office, called a local wildlife sanctary and am taking it here on my lunch break. It cannnot fly but is chirpping and hopping around and did poop.
Like everyone else here I have other pets besides Lizzy my ig and am very careful with them all, make sure cats don't get near Lizzy and have a secure hood on the fish.
I think it's a sparrow and it looks like with food and care will make it.
Anyone else here do this with other animals. I just can't seem to walk away.
I have no birds at home, my cats would destroy them for sure or the very least give them heart attacks. When Lizzy comes out it's supervised by me and the cats are not allowed any where near her. When she is in her cage they can see her but it is cat proofed for sure.
Hope the little guy makes it though.
