Altho the desired outcome of orchidectomies are in itself unpredictable...short of euthansia, I believe its a great alternative. My male ig is neutered...at a cost of $500 including pre-& post lab work, and I am enthusiastically pleased with the 350 degree turn around my ig has shown. He has gone thru one breeding season since and only has become restless, no where near tangerine orange he maintained throughout his maturity, and hissed at me a couplea times (deservedly so....I was moving him when he didn't want to be moved). NO biting, charging, lunging, attempts to mame my other ig, agression AT ALL! *And* I am stitch free ;-) !
