New Iguana Question

I recently purchased an ignuana/aquarium/etc and have a few questions about it. I have had my iguana for 3 days and a friend has had his for about 4. His Iguana will always run away from being touched or try to scamper away when it's out of it's cage but mine seems very docile..It will climb on my arm and just sit there and it doesn't seem to bother it when I pick it up. Is this just a stage it's going through for a little while and it'll end up running away before I train it or did I just get lucky? Also is it ok to run a sink full of water and let it swim around in it to clean it off? How long should I expect to have to wait before my iguana can be let loose without trying to hide? Oh and both iguanas are very young, probably a littles less than a foot from head to tip of tail. Thanks for any answers.
