The best thing to do would be to locate the mound and destroy it. Follow the trail of ants and find out how they are coming into your home. Chaulk up any holes you may find...look around drains, cable, telephone wires a tiny overdrilled hole is an open invitation. Outside the house continue to follow the ant trail to the mound. Put a kettle of boiling hot water on and pour directly in the center of the mound. You may have to repeat this with other mounds you locate. What I use is diazonon granuales sprinkling the base of the house. I usually have to repeat this annually but never have a problem with indoor ants anyway. The chemicals remain OUTSIDE where igs don't have access to it. If the ants are coming from under the house...you may need to sprinkle the daizonon directly under the entrance/ crawl space...whereever they are coming in from...or bomb it as was mentioned or have a professional come out and spray.
