Hello everyone! To make a long story short, I was at my local herp shop getting snake chow. A guy walks in with a cardboard box with an Iguana inside (approx. 11/2 feet). He claimed he caught it in his backyard and wanted to get rid of it before it died. The owner of the store didn't have the room, or just plain didn't want another Iguana. Well, the guy said he'd been at every herp shop in the Valley and didn't know what to do. He told me he was going to release it in his backyard again. He just didn't want the thing and was giving it away free.
I'm a snake guy, I always have and most likely always will. The thought of this thing being released and subsequently dying was too much...even for me. I told the guy I'd take him and find a home, after all, it's free. I could use a lil help here. Until I find a home, what does the lil bugger eat? What does he need as essentials? Also, if anyone lives in the San Fernando Valley area of Los Angeles, I'd be more than willing to meet someone to give them a free Iguana. I'd appreciate any help anyone could give me. I just don't want him to die.
Thank you,
Brad
