It took me a LONG time to figure out what foods my
iguana liked and did not like! (He is a VERY picky
eater!) I experimented for quite a while with many
different foods, and just eliminated those that he
would not eat and kept those that he did eat. I am
still finding new foods all the time that he loves!
What made it hard for me was he liked a lot of foods
I would NEVER even think of. For example, his
FAVORITE food is squash (YUCK!).
He also really enjoys collard greens (but won't touch
spinach) green bell peppers, cauliflower (but he
hates broccoli...go figure), radishes and plums. So
Everyone says that iguanas like strawberries and
kiwi, but mine won't touch them at all! So it is
just a matter of trial-and-error to see what your
iguana likes. Don't get discouraged if your iguana
won't eat what everyone else's iguana will, because
each one is unique. Hope this helps out a little bit.
The others can probably help you more, because although
my iguana LOVES these foods, the others can probably
tell you which ones are more nutritional for iguanas.
