Well, I've had my iggy about as long, and I got him when he was a bit smaller than yours - I think when I got him he was just under 12" total, and now he's over 14" - SVL the size increase is between 1/2" and 3/4", I think. Funny, he looks like he's grown more than that sounds like, maybe because he's filled out a little too. He's beginning another shed now; he just finished his last one a couple of weeks ago (with shedding presumably reflecting growth). Anyway, to answer your question more directly, you could try keeping measurements of your ig every week, and keep track of his growth that way. Also, I would give more food at a time than the ig can eat (sounds wasteful maybe, but sometimes they'll eat more than others - and igs don't really tend to overeat and get fat. One more thing about growth is that it depends on other factors like making sure the ig's temps are warm enough, he has a wide spectrum fluorescent bulb like a Vita lite, and that the enclosure is big enough for him to move around.
Anyway, good luck with your Little Beastie!
ps: One more thing I thought of is that it's never a bad idea to have a herp vet do a fecal check, if you haven't already. I know from experience with my BD that internal parasites can really take a toll, especially if not caught and treated early.
