keep in mind that in the wild, igs are food for just about everything + everyone ... your iglet is pretty darn sure that you are gonna make a snack out of him and he's terrified!
it's gonna take *lots* of patience and lots of time for him to learn he can trust you ...

one bad thing about an aquarium is that to pick him up, you have to loom over him, just like a predator ... move really slow, talk softly to him ... maybe for the next week or so, just sit next to his enclosure and talk to him so he gets to know your voice and that you won't hurt him ... and that you bring him FOOD! *grin* ... then try just putting your hand in his enclosure and let him get used to being close to you, again, with nothing bad happening! maybe hold a nice nummy bit of food for him to come get??? try hard to set a routine, do the same things at the same times every day ... your iglet will learn what to expect + when and it takes the fear out of his new situation a bit ...

don't get discouraged, it's gonna take weeks if not months for him to learn he can trust you ... igs don't "tame" the same as puppies or kittens just automatically do ...

every second of effort you put into helping your iglet adjust now while he's small will be worth it when he reaches 5-6'!!!!

another good link besides Jen Swoffords is below ...

best wishes!
Bon. + the iZ-monster (formally the dreadful dragon!)
