: Well...I'd say go for it once in a while...salsa has ALOT of tomato...lousy CA:P (calcium to phosphorous ratio).....The citric acid in tomatoes, and oranges have an ALKALINE effect on their/our system converting to carbon dioxide & water...not ACID...herbivorous reptiles require an alkaline gut state, Carnivorous & omnivorous reptiles have an acid system.

: Acid forming fruits include cranberries, cherries, and veggies like legumes, lentils, asparagus...cause an acid effect. If the slasa you give your ig have the acid causing items...then I would say DO NOT give it to him at ALL!!
