Well...I'd say go for it once in a while...salsa has ALOT of tomato...lousy CA:P (calcium to phosphorous ratio).....The citric acid in tomatoes, and oranges have an ALKALINE effect on their/our system converting to carbon dioxide & water...not ACID...herbivorous reptiles require an alkaline gut state, Carnivorous & omnivorous reptiles have an acid system.

Acid forming fruits include cranberries, cherries, and veggies like legumes, lentils, asparagus...cause an acid effect. If the slasa you give your ig have the acid causing items...then I would say DO NOT give it to him at ALL!!
