i've also dreamed of a nice indoor lagoon for iZ! what i've decided is the best thing would be to be able to drain/refill it daily ... a filtering system alone wouldn't cut it due to the solids, both poop + urates ... i'd stay away from any + all chemicals, it's just not worth the risk!

now, fixing up a fill/drain system depends on whether you own your house or not ... in a rental place, i figure the drain part wouldn't be too difficult, just rig a hose to drain out the window ... the filling part would be more difficult especially in anything but the smallest lagoon cuz it'd involve carrying multiple 5 gallon buckets of water ... or ... one of those hose to faucet attacthments that you use to fill a water bed ... (i think of stuff like this as i'm falling asleep!) ...

some day when i'm grown-up and have my *own* house, we *are* gonna rig up actual plumbing for an iZ-lagoon!
