Shedding - Wishful thinking?

I know a number of us have igs that have difficulty shedding especially older igs. My 6 y/o female ig had a heck of a time not too long ago with 2 spikes. She also would shed just small pieces at a time rather than the almost full body shed you see when they're young. (That's probably pretty normal, but anyway...)

Been reading about how some folks go beyond "misting" the food and dang near drown the food LOL LOL So.....I recently started doing this. AND when they get a bread treat it is soooo thoroughly saturated.

This week she went in to shed mode----almost everywhere! And it is coming off in like huge chunks. This includes the spikes. Yeah!!!

Wondering if this is because of the additional water in their diet OR is she just yanking my chain yet again *grin* I've always misted the food; always used grated foods in at least every other meal to add moisture; always misted enclosures early a.m. to allow "humidity" build up. Literally pouring water on their food is the only different thing I've done.

As long as they don't begin to reject din-din served this way, I'll continue to do it. But does anyone else think this may be a good solution to shed problems? Oh yeah almost forgot---for those who don't know Thunder & Lightning---don't even mention trying "tub soak" to them unless you are prepared to run for your very life LMAO
