Hi all...
I am looking for some suggestions on a new cage for Gilbert. I want to get him out of his aquarium, and into a BIG playhouse! ;) I had some questions about the use of wire mesh vs. glass/plexiglass. So far, I have read arguments for/against both.

One says.. glass is not good, it holds in too much heat, and since it's clear, the Igs will face rub all day trying to get through it. Use wire mesh instead.

The other says: Mesh is BAD! The Ig gets his/her feet and toes stuck, and ripps them off. Glass also holds the heat better. Never use mesh!

What gives? I am thinking about a mesh wall or two, just for the cost aspect of it. And more fresh air, and something he can climb on (among other things of course)

Let me know folks...tuesday's payday, and I'm off to Builder's Square! ;-)
